Bio-gas/Landfill Gas Monitoring Sensor, Analyzer

Biogas is gaining more attention in all over the globe as a renewable energy resource and so is monitoring biogas. So what is a “Biogas”?

An organic waste, when broken down by bacteria, produces “Biogas” that can be used to generate electricity and heat. The biogas is primarily methane (CH4), Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and small amounts of Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S).

While Biogas plants are becoming increasingly more important, it is necessary to control and monitor these gases to prevent plant damage and health risks. Extreme caution is necessary when working with Biogas. Apart from adequate ventilation, personal protective equipment and good work practices, monitoring these dangerous gases and keeping them at a safe level is crucial for plant optimization & safety and personal protection.

At GasAlarm Systems, we can provide gas sensors with various features that extend plant optimization and operational safety of your biogas plant.

Methane is considered as an explosive gas that creates an oxygen-deficient atmosphere. For an early detection of potential hazards, we can offer methane gas sensors with analog and digital output signals and various other features to suit your process. Carbon dioxide is an odourless gas that increases the heart rate and higher concentration can cause unconsciousness and death. By monitoring Carbon dioxide and keeping it to safe levels helps achieve optimum plant safety. Click here for the our complete range of Carbon dioxide sensors.

Hydrogen Sulphide is a highly toxic gas and can cause respiratory paralysis. Monitor and keep the Hydrogen Sulphide to a safe level by installing a Hydrogen Sulphide Gas Sensors. Click here for the possible options of H2S sensors that we can offer.

If increasing oxygen (O2) levels are detected, it indicates an air leak into the system with the likely risk of a potential explosive hazard. To guarantee the efficiency of the biogas plant, we can offer Oxygen sensors to monitor the quality of the gas.
